Types of Wood Door: Mission

About Mission Wooden Doors

Both small and large panel mission doors remind us of the American Craftsman style most popular at the beginning of the 20th century. Otherwise referred to as arts and crafts doors or shaker doors, this particular home decorative interior design movement remained strong until the 1930s, but has seen many frequent revivals since.

These quality doors are available for purchase and immediate delivery. They are available in a variety of stains then distressed with black cracks. The door is finally sealed with three coats of polyurethane sealer. This ensures an abrasion-resistant, hard-wearing, and durable finish that protects your door from the sun, snow, wind and rain as well as any fungus or mildew problems.

The door (the picture opposite shows a large panel mission door) also comes complete with a number of accessories such as a hand forged, wrought iron door knocker and rustic black corner brackets to complete the period look. Other Mission doors come with different accessories and inalternative finishes.

If you have an existing standard 6’8” x 36” x 1 3/4” door, a Mission door would be a splendid entrance point to your home. “I had a neighbor try to go out and buy a door like mine,
he spent more and his door became dilapidated over one year.
He wishes he would of asked me where I bought mine…!”
